Food Handler Training

The Food Handler course is available as an independent study, offered online and as an instructor-led group class, in a private setting for organizations looking for team training. The Food Handler course is an ANSI-approved certificate course that is valid for three years. This course satisfies the requirements for Food Handling Enforcement Act for the State of Illinois. Food Safety Manager Certificate
Safe Food 101 offers both classroom and online instruction options for obtaining the Food Safety Sanitation Certificate (FSSMC). Classroom instruction is instructor-led and offered to the general public and private instruction can be arranged for organizations that need to get a whole team certified at once. This class utilizes the ServSafe® Food Managers Certification Course that meets the requirements for the State of Illinois. If you are in a state other than Illinois, such as Missouri, classes are available, as Safe Food 101 offers the ServSafe® Food Managers Course, which is a nationwide approved course.

Courses are active for 180 days from date of enrollment and will stop functioning 180 days after the enrollment. Within the 180 day active period, the name of the student can be changed for a $20 fee for all courses except Food Handler, if a TAP Certificate of Achievement has NOT been awarded. Changing of the name will not re-activate any inactive, closed or ended functions. We reserve the right to charge a $5 fee for Food Handler name changes.
